Accommodation

Set in the heart of Barnard Castle this Grade II listed cottage is only a short walk away from both the River Tees and Bowes Museum. The cottage has all the modern facilities you would expect; central heating throughout and decorated simply using British Heritage colours.
The cottage has an alfresco seating and dining area within the shared courtyard, which is the perfect place for breakfast and lunch in the sun.
On the ground floor there is a fully fitted kitchen, a dining and living space with original beamed ceilings, downstairs cloakroom and the entrance area is ideal for storing cycles and outdoors boots/coats.
The 1st floor offers a twin room, ideal for children, with bunk beds, wardrobe, bedside table and night-light. There is also a luxurious tiled bathroom containing a bath with stainless steel power shower over, sink and toilet.
The 2nd floor is a wonderful gallery styled double bedroom with original beams and exposed stonework. The pine double bed is a real comfort and matches the wardrobe, chest of drawers and large mirror. There is also a curved wicker chair, which has been placed under the velux windows offering natural light and a quiet place to sit and read.
